James Thomas

James Thomas is the Chief Technology Officer of Just Pay for It Payment Solutions Ltd. He brings approximately 25 years of experience in information technology, including 15 years in management, with expertise spanning enterprise technology strategy, software development, cloud computing, systems integration, cybersecurity governance and business continuity.

As CTO, James leads technology across Just Pay, from solution design and application development to project delivery, artificial intelligence integration and the multi-cloud infrastructure that powers the platform. His focus is translating business needs into practical, secure technology that improves operations, strengthens services and supports growth for the merchants Just Pay serves.

Throughout his career, James has led technology initiatives across telecommunications, financial services and the public sector. He built an in-house software development capability at a national telecommunications provider and led the delivery of digital payment platforms, e-government solutions for public procurement and cash management, and customer service systems. He also developed the policies and procedures behind a successful electronic money issuer licence application, and contributed to a public-sector digital solution recognised as a finalist for a major international development bank award.

James holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science and a Professional Certificate in Data Science, together with certifications in IT service management and business continuity.
